ROCK ANCHORS

Rock Anchors are small diameter holes drilled into rock with a tendon or other steel bar placed inside with a high strength grout. Anchors can be used where significant uplift or overturning must be overcome and extremely hard rock or other conditions where drilling a deep large diameter hole would not be cost effective. Rock anchors are post tensioned units and Hub performs post tensioning and testing. Hub has installed rock anchors for monopole foundations, granite block abutment rehabilitations, observation towers, utility towers and other projects where direct transfer to bedrock in a safe and predictable manner were required.
