Jim Maxwell, President & Owner

Reynolds CushingJim Maxwell started working for Hub in its third year, 1969. He learned how to estimate from his father and also gained experience in the field as a union craftsman. In 1981 Jim took over as president and owner of Hub Foundation. In the 1990’s he led the transition of the company from a pile driving firm to a drilled shaft contractor. In order to provide a large range of services, he is guiding the company to take on other geotechnical challenges. Jim has also been honored to serve on the Board of Directors for the

    Reynolds Cushing, Director of Project Engineering

    Reynolds CushingReynolds Cushing served in the US Air Force from 1975-1979 as a meteorological systems analyst/computer programmer. Following the Air Force he attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha earning a BS in Civil Engineering in Dec 1982. Cush started working for Hub in 1983 as an Estimator and General Superintendent and was named a Vice President of Hub in 1985. He left Hub to work for Bechtel Infrastructure on the Central Artery/Tunnel Project from 1992 - 2006, starting as an Office Engineer and becoming a Resident Engineer in 1994. Cush returned to work at Hub in 2006. Cush is a Civil Engineer, Estimator, Claims Analyst, and Project Manager.

    Tony Barila, Director of Small Diameter Drilling

    Tony BarilaTony is an industry veteran who joined the Hub Foundation team in January 2010 to expand Hub's small diameter drilling business, including mini piles, shotcrete, soil nails, rock anchors and tie backs. Tony has decades of drilling experience as the founder, President, and co-Owner of Terra Drilling Company, which he sold in 2008.

    Jeff Maxwell, Vice President & Superintendent

    Jeff MaxwellJeff Maxwell brings over two decades of experience to the deep foundation business. Jeff first started working with Hub Foundation part-time at the age of 18, and became a full-time member of the team after graduating with a degree in in Geology from Tufts University. Jeff started as a pile driver, advanced Foreman and then Superintendent, and became the Vice President in 1999.

    Greg Maxwell, General Superintendent

    Greg MaxwellGreg Maxwell, like Jeff, started working for Hub at the age of 18 and became a full time member of the team after graduating from Tufts University with a double major in Biology and Environmental Studies. Greg started as a pile driver, became foreman, superintendent and now is the general superintendent.

    Alissa Maxwell Weiss, Treasurer

    Alissa Maxwell WeissAlissa Maxwell Weiss has over 15 years of experience in the deep foundation industry. Following the family trend, she started working part-time with Hub Foundation at age 18. She graduated with a degree in Geology from Hamilton College, and began working full-time with Hub Foundation in 2002. Alissa started as a laborer and transitioned into the office as an estimator and as the company treasurer.

    Matteo Forgione, Director of Engineering

    Matteo Forgione Matteo Forgione started working with Hub in 2008. Matteo is a Mechanical Engineer with both BSME and MSME degrees from UMass Lowell. He designs Hub’s custom built drilling tools and works with Hub’s mechanics and fabricators to develop specialized equipment for unusual project requirements. He worked with Tony Barila to rapidly expand the microdrilling aspect of Hub’s work, and specializes in the implementation of limited access microdrilling.
