The Google Building was an urban Hub project where we provided multiple types of service to our client. To meet schedule demands, we completed an initial micropiles phase in the pre-existing building under low headroom conditions. Following demolition, we installed drilled shafts to support the column loads and core of the new structure. We installed additional micropiles in high headroom conditions for formerly inaccessible portions of the new footprint. We also provided bracing and SOE to support the foundation wall. An added challenge on this site was installing foundations within feet of the existing MBTA Red Line Tunnel. We pride ourselves in our ability to cater to our clients and the geotechnical engineers they hire and engaging with them to find creative solutions to the problems today’s construction sites present.
