Hub recently completed 176 drilled micropiles at 100 CambridgeSide Place in Cambridge. The drilled micropiles were all approximately 90 feet long with a design capacity of 280 tons. We completed the entire project from the third level of the parking garage with merely eight feet of headroom. Prior to drilling the micropiles, we mobilized the entire operation to the lowest level including the complete recirculation system with a customized soil separation system and tanks— the lifeline of the drill operation. We also mobilized 56 tractor trailers worth of steel casing and bars required for the project, which we unloaded in the loading dock so the material could be shuttled to the third level where it was staged until needed. We completed the project ahead of schedule in only four and a half months utilizing three customized ultra low headroom drill rigs.
