Lovejoy Wharf is a 15-story luxury condominium building overlooking the Zakim Bridge and Boston Harbor. The foundation for this building ties in with the floor slab of the existing structure. Hub had to drill five-foot diameter holes through four feet of reinforced concrete and use polymer slurry to excavate over 120 feet to bedrock. The 61 shafts supporting this building were completed during the snowiest winter ever in Boston—more than nine feet of snow!
