Haverhill Bridge
Haverhill, MA
SPS New England, Inc. – General Contractor
Hub completed a series of seven foot diameter shafts over three phases in three years—timed around sturgeon migration—to support the new bridge for Interstate 495 spanning the Merrimack River. The shafts were socketed into rock and installed with permanent casing. Hub used oversized 9’6″ diameter casing to isolate shaft locations and allow us to vibrate full-length permanent casing into place. Hub was pleased to perform this work for long-standing client SPS New England, Inc.
